Terrible experience

Absolutely do not buy anything from LG unless what youre into is paying a lot of money to be mistreated by customer service I ordered this product three weeks ago three times I was promised delivery and installation took three days off work to wait at home for the appliance and I still do not have it. I spent hours on the phone with LG and the companies they subcontract to fulfill their deliveries and I repeatedly received incorrect information. No one I talked to has shown any sense of responsibility for this situation or any interest in helping to solve it.

Touch control panel not as intuitive as knobs

This replaced a washer/dryer with intuitive control knobs so it took some time and experimentation to do what I wanted. The touch sensitive controls are not as intuitive. For example I found myself pressing the top and bottom ends of the high/low range settings before I eventually realized it was a simple switch that cycled through all of the settings. It also took me awhile to understand that by clicking on the Timed Dry control when it was not lit caused it to light up and the Temp Dry setting stopped being lit up. It would probably be better if all of the feature settings were at least dimly lit half way lit when not chosen and brightly lit when chosen. Those that are not lit cannot be read at all on the black control panel. One thing I was able to do on the old knob controls was to be able to change certain things after starting the wash or dry. For instance when I start the wash and realize that the temp is not where I wanted to set it or I wanted to add more time to the time setting or change the dryness level. I do like the quiet operation.

GAS error code after 2 years of use. Dryer does not function anymore and needs repaired. Warranty doesnt cover and extended warranty at the time of purchase was ludicrously expensive. Beware if you buy this product get the extended warranty because it will break. Cheap quality go with a different brand

I bought this machine from LG partner store. The machine is good but the delivery and after-sales service are terrible. The machine made squeaking and rubbing noise during the first run. I contacted LG and the agents said its the shipping bolts not taken off during installation and they asked me to take them by myself or their technician will charge me. This firstly is a wrong diagnosis secondly means to pull this 1800lbs machine out by their customer. After rounds and rounds of battle I finally got a technician and LG sent me a wrong appointment date and made me waste a day waiting. Finally the technician came and told me its the poly-foam not removed from the inside of the machine made this noise. And its not possible for me to remove it by myself. If I did it then all my future warranty will be refused by LG.

Very happy with the product - 5 stars. Very unhappy with the purchase process - 1 star. Propane is a common alternative to natural gas in the U.S. Three problems I encountered ordering through the LG website are: 1 the recommended items only contained a steamer and not the conversion kit. 2 I had to order the conversion kit from Amazon as the LG site gave me an error when I tried to add it to the cart using three different browsers to confirm it wasnt a browser issue 3 free installation was listed as part of the service and was selected but when the delivery team arrived they said they could not install the laundry tower costing me an additional two weeks and $135. I will not order through the LG website again as there was too much misinformation

I am in the process of modernizing my laundry room with new cabinets counters and sink. I replaced my washer and dryer with the LG WKGX201HWA wash tower. The washtower works well. The parts that come with the unit are 3 water hoses a hose splitter drainage hose zip-tied to the water hoses a dryer vent and two electrical cord. Attached is a picture. Still need to install the cabinets but not sure if it will look better. I am focusing on the product but the installation of a unit that is intended to replace 2 units needs to be considered before purchasing.

Let me start with the LG customer service has been amazing My unit leaked on its first wash and because of Lowes crappy 48 hr policy had to call LG. They got some right out they tried a few different things and determined Lowes damaged it in delivery. Now that I have a new unit from RC Willey it works amazing You can keep the door shut and washer doesnt smell. Very easy to use. For a small unit it has very large tubs.

Its a great combo does a great job works well the only down part is the actual manufacture craftsmanship as they rust and in some case cause problems with access to utilities of the washer but I will not blame that on the machine as it continues to work I will just blame it on LG for their lack of foresight

We love the machine. The second one weve bought. Support is great. It has dowloadable cycles but they dont always show up in the App. The ap is good but not very intuitive. I learned recently that the cycles with asterisks by them I have to hold for 3 to 5 seconds to activate them eg the Tub Clean cycle. It has some diagnostic error that doesnt prevent it from working but there is no way to reset it?

BEWARE: LG Does Not Honor Warranty

The dryer stopped working while under manufacturers LG warranty in December 2023. I was without a functioning dryer for more than six weeks while LG and the retailer Bekins Appliance in Grand Rapids MI pointed fingers at each other. Repair persons were dispatched to my house four times meaning I had to set aside five work hours for each attempted repair. LG refused to replace the defective unit. LGs customer service was the worst I have experienced in my adult life. LG at one point elevated my case to Presidential Review which meant that the hapless Angela Sizemore was assigned to my case. Just today three weeks after the fact she is following up with me. The lack of effort and common sense not to mention common courtesy on LGs part is maddening. This is a $2400 unit. I filed suit in small claims here in Kent County two weeks ago. The courts are backed-up so I might not find resolution until this summer 2024. I am an attorney and am currently working with my state representative to draft a bill that would create a Michigan Lemon Law applicable to large appliances to protect people from predatory companies like LG. This situation was an ordeal that wasted so much of my time. The way LG handled it was disgraceful.

This is by far the best washer/dryer tower setup Ive ever had Located in our garage it has a much smaller footprint that side by sides takes less time for each function and easy to load/unload. The delivery people were awesome did not rush and explained the basics after installation. If you would benefit with a tower arrangement I really recommend this LG unit
