We bought a little over 5 years and it does not gring the coffee I thought for the price it would have lasted longer and 250 a hour to fix it plus parts and service call is a lot can you buy the grinder yourself my husband is a technician and can do it himself sad

So we got this coffee maker in 2021. It was working great, and always was been taken care of on time. Regularly cleaned, descaled using Bosh supplies, Brewing unit cleaned. Then one day we got heater element unit error. To our supprise when we called Bosch to schedule repair, we were informed service is not available in our area (Chicago?!). So we used our local biggest appliance marchand repair service who replaced heating element. We were back on. Then week later, message - "Allow unit to cool down". Judgment - brewing unit motor overheating - unit serviced, greased, motor changed. We were back on again. 2 weeks lated - touch screen unresponsive. Judgment - need to be replaced. All in, over $1000 down and unit is dead.

Bosch should so something to make owners feel better about owning this product. My suggestion? A year's supply of descaling tablets or membership to a coffe club. Right now I feel slightly foolish having spent over $4000 for the machine. It's handy, yes. But mostly I bought it to fill a hole in the wall of my kitchen--one created when my last machine's "motherboard" quit. The Bosch machine is noisy. The water reservoir is too small. The language on the contols appear to have been written by someone for whom English is a second language. All of these issues would probably go away for me if the machine hadn't been so expensive. I use my daughter's Nescafe machine frequently--coffee is just as good--maybe better--for far less money.

My husband and I have had a Bosch built-in coffee machine since 2009. This model could no longer be repaired. We purchased a replacement because we love it. The only problem is not enough technicians to repair them. We highly recommend Bosch because it is the top of the line coffee machine.

Bought our built-in as part of our self-done kitchen renovation a couple years ago for my wife's "dream kitchen". Installing myself was a breeze. She drinks two drinks from it daily and loves it. Produces great drinks. I'm personally not a fan of the drip tray and there has to be a better way these days to clean and dispose of waste from coffee machines in general (not a critique of this particular model). I'm also not a fan of refilling the water container all the time; there should be a model that can take in a water line, and I almost hacked that. Over the three years we've had it, as long as one does properly regular descaling, and remembers to refrigerate the milk container, it's been working great. The one issue we had were particularly large/tough coffee beans that broke the grinder, and we had to replace it. Once a technician helped us identify the party to be replaced, it was super easy to get it replaced.

The Bosch built in coffee maker has been a great addition to our kitchen remodel. Although apprehensive in the beginning with having such an important part of kitchen built into the cabinetry based both on concerns for maintenance and ease of operation, the Bosch has surpassed all expectations! The menu clearly provides options and executes preparation of each flawlessly. You are advised in advance of any maintenance needs on the control screen display. We highly recommend the Bosch built in coffee maker!

I order the Bosch with costum panel hoping to match my kitchen cabinets. It was difficult to find the piece of wood that I needed. The companies that Bosch recommended in my area did not do the custom panels. I finally went through a designer that had a contact that could get the panel. Now I need someone to install it. That should not be so hard. It washes well. I love the utensil tray on top.

We have been waiting for months to be able to to install our bosch coffee maker. After just one cup we have become coffee snobs and can't drink any other type of coffee. The only thing I wish was different was the drip tray needs to be drained frequently.

I would NEVER own another coffee maker like this!! I got hooked on having the fresh ground coffee but I've had to have the grinder replaced and service on this machine to clean it up!! Definetly not worth the price/problems you get with this. Would stay away from this coffee machine!

I purchased the built-in coffee machine BCM8450UC and started leaking after three months. I tried contacting BOSCH to ask for repair centers and when i send it it to an authorized center they held it for a year and were not able to fix it. BOSCH said reimbursement was not an option. A big waste of money for a brand that leaves you with a problem

I've been using the Bosch coffee machine for about two years now and it is, hands down, the best appliance purchase I've ever made. I LOVE coffee and drink only whole bean so this machine is perfect for me. It is so easy to set the temperature, strenth and amount to get your perfect cup of coffee. There are so many options for drinks besides coffee which are also so easy to make. The machine prompts you when it is time to descale or clean making it so easy to maintain. I LOVE this coffee machine and will never go back to using a regular coffee maker.

This is the 3rd over about 15 years that we have had Bosch appliances. This previously was one of our favorite coffee makers. The current one is only two years old and we are having problems with it and no one in our area will work on the unit. I have requested service aadvice from Bosch on several occasiions and still no result.

When our old Bosch (13 years) finally stopped working, we knew that we needed a replacement since it was built into our kitchen. We researched the other companies that offered built-in coffee machines, and kept coming back to the Bosch. The other machines were more expensive and didn't offer the same features. For the money, Bosch was the best choice for us. We love having our favorite coffee drinks ready in minutes with just the touch of a button!

If you can afford it.. this is the single most amazing and useful appliance of your a coffee addict. I use it minimum 3 times a day and am not sure how I lived without it before. Bosch hit a homering with this one. Only wish that it had the ability to auto drain the drip tray into a kitchen drain and also have a water line hook up.

Had it for 2 years and all of the sudden it stopped brewing coffee. It would only drip a little bit and sounded like it was overworking.
The only difference is that we changed the coffee beans we used. We always used the coffee from Aldi however, Aldi stopped selling whole bean coffee. We got a bag of Starbucks French Roast Whole Bean at Costco and as soon as we did that, the problems started.
The French Roast coffee beans are much oilier and it seems that it clugged the grinder and the brewing mechanism.
We ran a cleaning cycle with Urnex SuperGrindz to clean the grinder and brewing system, switched to a bag of Lavazza coffee beans from Amazon, and now it is working just like new.
Taking one star off because during the time that it wasn't working, I called Bosch service and they told me that it was about $400 to just take a look at it, and I had to wait 2 months to have someone come. I'm in NJ and they said that they didn't have any authorized service providers so it had to be someone from Bosch directly. Even though I fixed it myself by running the SuperGrindz and changing the coffee beans, I never cancelled the service just in case. Today I got a call stating that the Bosch person assigned to my case (still a month out) left the company and they had to cancel my service request since they don't have anybody else to come and fix it.
Luckily I was able to fix it myself but buyer beware that service is an issue if you need it.
For those complaining that the coffee machine stops working, make sure you are using "non-oily" beans.

I love this built in coffee maker. I had to wait while u til my kitchen was ordered and installed with all Bosch appliances and I enjoy this one the most. The best cup of coffee and a lot less hassle than getting out and paying big bucks at the drive-thru. I can decide the strength and type of beverage I want. There is no need to have separate machine to make my favorite latte.

This machine looks great and for the first 12 months it worked great. Then the coffee stopped dripping from the pipe and was going behind the machine. Trying to get Bosch out there to help was a nightmare. You can't email, only call and then you have to wait on hold for over an hour each time. They said we were just out of the warranty period and had to pay for the repair - $1,450!! So we did and guess what the exact same problem has happened again 8 months later. Bosch does not answer emails, calls or acknowledges it is a known problem. I will never buy a Bosch product again

I've had my Bosch BCM8450U for several years and have zero regrets. Every cup is made with fresh ground coffee and the menu walks you through a variety of brews. Maintenance is also straight forward and I just follow the steps set forth in the manual. Periodically, the unit calls for either cleaning or descaling. ... The only negative is the frequent and annoying message on startup to "reinsert drip tray." The fix is to simply remove and reinsert the drip tray ... sometimes more than once. Apart from this, the unit makes terrific coffee and certainly satisfies this coffee snob.

Really like it, but have an issue with the milk frother - how do we rinse out the hoses from the frother, without removing all the hoses and milk tank. The hoses are too tight in the tank to remove.

It's attractive, fun, and smart. Too bad it's a machine :). I've had it for a month and I absolutely love it. It makes awesome coffee beverages (even just hot water for tea). I'm still playing with all the App functions. Just one pet peeve: it does an automated short rinse before it makes a beverage so you can't really use the App from bed to have your coffee ready (unless you don't mind the small amount of water from the rinse to be in your cup). Other than that, highly recommended! Totally worth it.

This appliance is fantastic. If you think Starbucks is good coffee, you will be blown away by the drinks it makes. We are dairy-free and I found that a ratio of almost 75% Almond milk and 25% Almond milk creamer makes a perfect foam for your lattes/macchiatos and it is then flavored and slightly sweetened. Our old Bosch built-in was over 15 years old before we replaced it with this model.

My Bosch Coffee machine went into service in November, 2023. For three months the machine worked fine. In March, 2024 the machine quit working after making less than 750 cups of coffee. I have had the Bosch authorized repair company out here 4 times and the machine still does not work. The repair company has done everything they have been advised by Bosch to do. Now going on three months after breaking down, there is no end in sight. The Bosch approach to customer service is to "slow walk" everything in the hope that you will give up. Not what one would expect of a $3,700 coffee machine.

Our household is big on coffee! When we remodeled our kitchen it made sense to add a built in coffee maker. We used to have an espresso machine but we hated that it took a lot of room from the counter. We are extremely happy with the addition to our kitchen! Besides looking great, we enjoy making cappucinos, macciatos and everything else! It is easy to use and love that we can start our morning coffees remotely.

We rely heavily on the machine in our kitchen, using it more frequently than any other appliance. After nearly four years of daily use, we're incredibly pleased with its performance. The cappuccino foam it produces is superb, and the coffee crema is just as it should be. Descaling the machine once a week, depending on water hardness, is a minor task. There are two cleaning procedures: descaling, as mentioned earlier, and another involving a tablet in the coffee powder drawer, typically done every 3-4 weeks. The only drawback is the need to refill the internal water reservoir; a fixed water connection would be preferable. While not the most economical option, this coffee maker has proven to be the best investment we've made for our coffee enjoyment.
