We purchased this model to replace a similar Whirlpool Gold bottom-freezer refrigerator we had had for over 20 years. We were pleasantly surprised that the pull-out drawer offered exceptional organization for our extra turkeys, hams, and pork loins. We have the pull-out drawer style Whirlpool in our kitchen, but we keep smaller items in it, so this was a pleasant surprise. We still have exceptional accessibility. We don't use the ice maker and wish it were easily removable to give us even more storage. The refrigerator and freezer have exceptional lighting and variable temperature settings to ensure freshness. Spillage is never an issue with the easy-clean shelves. The smooth door handles are a great improvement over the rough plastic handles in the old model. We love how sleek this refrigerator is. We purchased it for our fully finished garage and love, love, love it!

This refrigerator is the absolute worst. I wish I hadn™™t bought it. I will never buy whirlpool again this thing is crazy noisy when it is running even noisier when it is doing it™™s defrost mode. It actually will pop like someone blasted a weapon in the kitchen. My bedroom is by the kitchen and it makes you jump and I cannot even sleep. I have pets in the house that get freaked out like fireworks are going off in the house. No one can sleep because of this refrigerator. Day and night this thing is going off. I absolutely hate it. I wish I could win the lottery so I could buy a real refrigerator. That is quiet. but I spent too much money on this one and I™™m stuck with it if this fridge ends up killing my bird because he is stressed out. I don™™t know what I™™m going to do. I™™m so upset at Whirlpool and their refrigerators. I™™m typing this listening to a bunch of loud startling pops right now.

I've had this refrigerator since February. In May, noticed the freezer had a bunch of condensation in it and what was in the freezer was soft. Removed most of the items and gave it a few days to monitor. The freezer then started working again. However, this happened again soon after and it was worse this time. Called Whirlpool to schedule a service technician. He replaced a board in the fridge that was supposed to fix the issue. About a month later, happened again and had a bunch of ice cream melt all over. This was on a weekend, called Whirlpool who doesn't have service on the weekend. By the time the technician arrived, the freezer was working again. Nothing was done to resolve since I was told it has to be in a non-working condition. After 3 calls to escalate the issue, I still don't have a different answer and am waiting for another escalated call back. The freezer is not overfilled with food when this happens. At this point, the expectation is I have to wait for it to happen again, which means I can't use the freezer since I don't trust that it will work. That is the answer I have received from Whirlpool Customer Service. This is unacceptable, especially since it is a recurring issue.

Based on just over 2 weeks use the 22 cu ft bottom freezer refrigerator - no problems. Initial delivery front to back and side to side leveling is a must in IMO. The identical feature and inside layout but smaller 18 cu ft bottom freezer model was all I really needed for one person but the pricing was the same as the 22 cu ft so opted for it. I gave this glass shelving/bottom freezer a 4 out of 5 star rating because the 2 pull out veggie/fruit bins are basic clear plastic and pretty flimsy IMO including the sloppy glide rails .. and the bin pull out position stops are all but useless so keep that in mind when accessing contents.

Older same model died. Upon looking, found an exact match with same dimensions. Inside storage bins and freezer were just like the older one that we really liked. Old shelves and bins fit the new model. Wish new one had the covered bin for butter like the old one. Bottom freezer was a bonus.

When I looked at this model in the store, it was empty - of course; and the use ability design seemed to be good. Now after using it for 2 months, there are things that are aggravating. The 2 produce drawers are lightweight and flimsy with items inside and tend to come out of the upper track. The door compartments are hard to set at the placement spots for my items. There should be more choices. Concerning the freezer drawers, it is too easy to block off the vent holes in the rear, I must be careful when items are added. The door lock that happens when I open & close one - is hard for me to then open the freezer or refrigerator door. I tend to leave the door open if the other door is going to be opened soon. There is a loud noise when it starts - or possibly stops - that can be heard 15 feet away!!! That is upsetting. The sliding upper drawer in the freezer works well. The lighting is good.

This new refrigerator replaces a new refrigerator bought in December 2026 (exact unit ). Because that refrigerator had both condenser and evaporator go out twice! So assuming it was a ™lemon™! Not happy with Whirlpool, yes I appreciate you replacing the refrigerator as it was the right thing to do! The brand is not upholding its reputation as in past years! I™™ve personally fixed by motherboard on my washer twice with the help of YouTube Videos due to rust on the circuits!

Purchased in 2022 but took 12 months to get delivery due to covid....got in 2023.......within 7 months an actuator in fringe that controls the cold air coming in the fridge was making a lot noise.....got replace under warranty, no problem. Fridge is roomy with adjustable shelves and the door storage is nothing short of amazing......However freezer baskets are poorly designed. They should not be wired baskets as some debris falls down and to clean the bottom of the freezer you need to remove the freezer door....I installed some liners and used plastic storage boxes to keep stuff from falling through. Im old with spine problems and bought a bottom freezer because food was going bad in a reg fridge because I couldn't see it.....love the automatic ice maker....all in all it's been a good fridge.....love opening the door and seeing everything...as for the freezer I know a bottom drawer does limit space and I get it....be when small pieces of debris falls down on to the freezer floor it's a problematic to clean......solid removable freezer baskets woud be most helpful for those with disabilities....You listen to your customers Whirlpool?

The general refrigerator and freezer are great. The 3 plastic drawers are a nightmare. The meat drawer has 1/2 inch gap between the drawer and the shelf above. No point in putting meat in that drawer as it is not any different than just being put on an open shelf. The plastic drawers are thin/cheap plastic and scratch like fingernails on a chalkboard when you pull them out. The two vegetable drawers don't really have a stop on them when you pull them out. The "stop" is so slight that even when I know they don't "stop" they get away on me. The weight from the contents (apples/oranges/onions) makes the drawer fly past the "stop" and almost land on the floor. I would be very concerned if I had a small child pull out these drawers. I'd consider them dangerous. I did have the serviceman come out from the store I bought it from and he didn't see any way to correct any of these concerns and called me back later to tell me they are like that on the other floor models. I really like the refrigerator as a whole, but these drawers are horrible. Don't buy if you have small children!!! Don't you manufacturers have your employees try out your products to get the pros and cons before you sell them to the public?????

We bought this refrigerator 6 months ago. Recently the freezer cabinet liner split from front to back on the bottom. Whirlpool said this was cosmetic and the fix was a piece of white tape. Three technicians have said this functional (not cosmetic). Next stop will be NY Consumer Protection Agency. Also, the drawers do not operate smoothly.

My old Whirlpool fridge was better than 20 years old, it was a everything you could want! It wasn't broke, but knowing "White" seems to be a special-order color these days, no one keeps stock on hand for same day delivery, and the fear of being 2 to 6 weeks without a fridge, I thought I should replace it before it breaks. There was no question about staying with Whirlpool, they had proved their product to me. I think I may have been wrong. To start, poor craftmanship. Open seems where panels come together exposing insulation on all doors. Front of door reveled dents after moving handle from left to right side. Slide tray in freezer, and vegetable trays in fridge fit loose and do not slide smoothly. Ice maker over fills ice cube bin and the fill control bar drags cubes out of bin into back of freezer when opened. I'm hoping for the best but fear I won't be getting the same service and longevity my old fridge gave me. Not the same quality and craftmanship of my old refrigerator.

It is just about like my former refrigerator. I am unhappy that the delivery men just brought it in and did not balance. It looked to me like it was part of delivery. I replaced my 18 yo LG fridge. I wasn't able to see it on the showroom floor so I didn't realize the freezer is a a drawer instead of a door. The rail system and the lower drawer reduce a lot of space and restrict the size of what will fit in the freezer. If I can replace it I certainly will. The fridge drawers aren't as deep either which restricts what I can put in there too. Also it sounds like the compressor dropping out every time it turns on.

This is my second Whirlpool refrigerator in recent years. My kitchen Whirlpool has been working well and I needed a second refrigerator for our family. It was purchased about 2 months ago and I am happy with it. I like a bottom freezer except this one has two separate bins in the freezer. This limit s the kind of items that I can put into these bins because of size. That™™s the only reason for 4 stars. I looks good, works well, keeps everything cold and even temperature and is large enough without taking up too much space.

This refrigerator was delivered a week ago. Works fine, looks good and has a smooth surface. It takes a lot to get used to a bottom freezer--I think I like top better. Has adjustable glass shelves as wire were not available. The top door swings very easily--have to catch it. Overall will serve the purpose.

When it was time to replace my old Whirpool fridge, it was obvious choice for me: new Whirpool fridge. I've been very happy with the old one and decided to go with the same brand but upgrade it to a larger size. The only limitation to the size was the space in a kitchen. It was important to have a bottom freezer to allow more storage volume, plus, it's easier to see everything inside. I am not planning to use the ice box on a daily basis, but having it for parties is a bonus. Also, I really like that the slightly bigger fridge is very flexible in the way you configure shelves inside. I had this new fridge for a month now and it looks and works just as expected. It sometimes makes some noise, but it was my understanding about how this fridge works. The noise does not bother me at all as it's very occasional. Th temperature control is easy and I can adjust it depending on the amount of food I have inside. I also believe that it's energy conscious. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

the refrigerator was missing plug in the bottom of the door the top of the fridge was also missing the plugs that hide the screw holes if you change the door for one side to another, the freezer door seal has a tear in the one corner. this was all discovered after the appliance was delivered.

I™™ve only had this refrigerator for a week, so far I™™m loving it ™¦ the convience of having things at eye level is great. I™™ve always had Whirlpool products and even though everyone says this refrigerator probably won™™t last as long as my old one (almost 32 years) and who knows for sure I always went with Whirlpool because of their excellent repair record™¦I googled it and even consumer reports said it was on the top of the list for best quality and fewer repairs. That was years ago and I know things change™¦ they don™™t make anything that lasts that long anymore but I hope all will be good.

Our fridge we have had for almost 30 years, died right after Christmas. We had always wanted a bottom freezer style. We ended up removing a cabinet above the fridge to make the size we wanted work. We love how bright it is inside and it is so easy to access the things we often need. This unit came with an ice maker, we have never had an ice maker, so we hooked it into our RO water line. It is sooo nice to have ice all the time, the bottom freezer works well as we are not in and out of it that often. Time will tell on the reliability, but we did go ahead and buy a service plan as I know new appliances are reliable as they used to be.

We bought this on Veterans Day. We like it that it has a lot of room in it and we like the fact that the freezer compartment is on the bottom. We do miss the butter compartment in the door, which our former refrigerator had.

only issue we've noticed is the ice bin fills to maximum level and when the tray containing the ice bin is pulled out the ice falls through to the floor, in spite of the arm being in place to control amount of ice produced.

THIS UNIT RUNS ALMOST EQUALLY OFF AND ON......I HAVE TRACKED!!!!!!!!! I PREVIOUSLY OWNED THE SAME UNIT FOR 18, EIGHTEEN YEARS......RUNNING SOOOOO..FREQUENTLY WAS NOT A PROBLEM. AGREN, from where I purchased check, could not find an issue. I AM NOT HAPPY...ELECTRIC BILL UP $20.00. This UNIT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.

This model same as I had before however, I noticed Whirlpool has removed the divider in bottom freezer basket - good move!! much easier to arrange things. The downside it that refrigerators nowdays don't seem to have a very long shelf life i.e. less than 10 years. Would be nice if manufacturer installed an "alert" button to let us consumers know when compresser is goinig out. Would give more of a chance to either get fixed or buy a new unit and save a lot of food.
