So far so good.

Karl21 8/17/2026

Surprising how quickly the cooktop elements heat up. No issues, like the lock feature. We don't use the IOT feature, just one more piece of spyware. A high end cooktop without IOT would be great!

We're surprised how quickly the cooktop heat-up. Since we don't see the glow associated with the electric cooktop, it's hard to know if the element is heating the food unitl you see it.

Nice Overall

Jess46 7/24/2026

I love it mostly. I'm still learning how to operate it! I wonder if there is a way to stop it from turning on when I'm cleaning it? Wiping over the controls causes it to turn on. I don't like that. The controls are not easy to use. They could be redone to be easier.

It™€™s Pretty

Penrak 7/19/2026

We decided to go with all KitchenAid appliances when we did our Kitchen remodel. For the most part I™€™m happy with the microwave, dishwasher and oven. But I decided to give induction a try. Keep in mind I love to cook and I™€™m pretty good at it. I picked model KCIT730SBL01 the 30 inch. I ordered without looking at it in person. So the things I like: The glass top, cleans up easily. Much easier than my old glass top. But it ends there. If I could return it I would. Here are the issues I have. You have to first select a power on ™€œbutton™€ to turn on, then put your pan on the burner and turn on that burner. This takes too long. Then, I have to monkey with the slide controls to try and get the Temperature set to the desired temp. Holy cow it™€™s frustrating, sometimes I can get it to work, sometimes not and then if you splatter grease on the controls, forget it, I can™€™t change the temp at all, burn bacon burn!! Then oops, I lift my pan up off the burner to add something or remove something whatever, dang, 2 seconds the burner powers off and I have to start all over again. I also can™€™t seem to use more than two burners at a time? I often have 3 to 4 pots and pans going at the same time, I haven™€™t figured that one out yet? So out comes my electric skillet, because I can™€™t get a third burner to turn on. Which back to the burners, if you have a big pot in the middle, makes for a very crowded cooktop if you attempt to add another pot. Once I was using the two smaller burners and wanted to add another pot, I kept getting an error message that my pot was too small for all the other burners!! I had to grab a bigger pot for 2 cups of gravy! Instructions and quick start guide are useless and hard to read. I had to call KitchenAid on how to turn the thing on because the Quick Start Guide says press and hold the Power button. There is nothing that says ™€œPower™€ and there aren™€™t any ™€œButtons™€! We need better pictures and details. I did not like having to go to the website to figure out how to print one that is blurry. Should be included with the stovetop. Also, with the controls being in the front, I clean as I cook and can™€™t tell you how many times I accidentally change the temp or turned the whole stovetop off by accident. The controls just don™€™t work, maybe I have cold fingers, I don™€™t know, but I™€™m very frustrated with them. I download the app thinking using the controls on my phone might be easier. First, why did I have to enter my wifi password, seemed strange. Second, it was more clicks then doing it manually and then once the burner is turned on to the desired heat. You tell me how I adjust it up or down on your phone. I couldn™€™t figure it out? Anyway 3 stars because it™€™s pretty. So, If you like to cook like me and can boil more than water, do your research before buying this particular stovetop.

Honestly would not buy again

Sinair 7/9/2026

I honestly would not buy again. The touch controls are so finicky and hard to use. Doesn™€™t register your finger for one, slow press, fast press, doesn™€™t really matter. More annoying is if water or anything splashes onto controls say from a boiling water pan which happens all the time since the controls are right next to the middle large burner, the controls go nuts and start beeping and shut off. If you wipe the water off, the controls go nuts because you touch the controls; you can™€™t win. If you set something on the controls, such as a pan or slide a pan over the controls, they start beeping and shut off. In addition the controls are not intuitive. It is difficult to fine tune the heat. The stove top is so shiny as well, it is difficult to see the controls with a light on above it. You think you turned something on and it will start beeping at you and shut off and you don™€™t know why. Second issue we have is the stovetop is very noisy at times when heating up pans. Not from the pans, but underneath the stovetop a loud buzzing is heard when you use the stove top. I like the induction instant on and instant off, kind of like gas, so that is a plus. But at this point that good feature doesn™€™t make up for the very finicky touch controls. Last issue is many times the stovetop won™€™t recognize the pan on the burner so it won™€™t turn on, just beeps at you. It is the same pan and if you move it to a different burner it will recognize it. The pans are fairly new as they were bought to be used with this stovetop so they are clean. We would rather just have knobs at this point that actually work. Maybe if the controls were on the side or more out of the way, that would help, but I doubt it. For as much as I spent on this stovetop, I obviously really want to like it, but we don™€™t. It preheats very fast so that is a plus and boils water fairly fast.

I love my Kitchenaid cooktop. It cleans really easily. I also like the ability to use the app. This is so helpful when using the temperature setting. I am able to choose the food I am cooking and it sets the temp for me. I also love how fast it boils! I also appreciate how consistent it cooks things like scrambles eggs! A New Way to Cook

ShawnC 2/19/2026

I recently upgraded to this induction cooktop because I was worried about the indoor air quality from my old gas stove and the lack of external venting. I was a bit hesitant to switch, but this KitchenAid induction cooktop is incredible. The technology and function feel like magic. It boils water very fast and feels much safer, both for air quality and burn risks. With kids in the house, making sure they're not breathing in combustion fumes and having the area near the burners stay cool to the touch are both major benefits. The cooktop itself is a good size and has five different cooking zones, including one combination zone, which provides a lot of flexibility for larger meals. It has a number of smart settings (Temp Cook, Simmer, Smart Boil, Saute) that allow for more precise control and even heating, although there is a bit of a leaving curve. It looks great and is easy to wipe clean. I'm extremely happy that we made the switch to induction - it feels like a better way to cook.

Sleek, powerful, and easy to use, this KitchenAid

antond2_3041 2/2/2026

We absolutely love this KitchenAid 30 Induction Cooktop. The size is perfect for our kitchen and we are glad we replaced our old one . The five cooking zones make everyday cooking much easier, especially when using different pan sizes are the same time . The surface is very easy to clean and only needs a quick wipe , which is a big plus for daily use . The company installed the cooktop, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. The cooktop heats quickly and evenly, and the temperature control feels very precise, which helps a lot when cooking different types of meals. We are also enjoying learning all of the smart features, including voice control and the cooking presets . There is definitely more to explore, and it makes cooking feel modern and intuitive. We already have a KitchenAid dishwasher, so this cooktop fits beautifully into our kitchen. Overall, we are very happy with it and excited to keep using it .

Performs well

31derful 1/27/2026

We replaced our Jenn-Air electric cooktop with this Kitchenaid induction cooktop. We knew there would be a learning curve with induction, and it really hasn't taken too long. The performance of this cooktop has been really good. It brings water to a boil so quickly, and its response to changes to temperature settings is immediate and precise. We like not having to clean around and under knobs with the touch controls, but they have been a problem. First, we don't know if the controls have difficulty sensing cold or dry fingers, if there is a sensitivity issue, or some other reason, but it is not uncommon to repeatedly touch them and not get any response. That is frustrating. Secondly, each burner is controlled by a linear touch scale, 1 to 18, with a series of dashes representing even number settings, and the spaces between them representing odd. It is hard to hit on the number you want the first time. You can aim for where you think "8" is, or example, and it may come up "7" or it may read "10". Then you press again and again until it finally senses that you touched "8". We don't care for the buzzing that we hear with certain cookware, but thankfully it seems to occur mostly with wide temperature setting changes. After the cookware temperature actually changes, the noise slowly goes away. Cleanup has been easy, due in part to our choice to cook on paper towels to catch splatters and reduce scratching. Ideally, we would have liked to have had two large burners, but it only comes with one that is right in the center. The excellent performance of this cooktop has outweighed our dislike for the controls.

I love the induction cooktop. Cooking with this type of energy is fantastic. I love the extra burner that I get with the bridge. There are just a few glitches with it as I get used to it. I sometimes turns off instead of staying on and the middle burner is more sensitive in how it turns on.

Not happy!!

SHINYBLACK 11/15/2025

I™€™ve had kitchenaid appliances for over 20 years. I™€™m not at all happy with my new cooktop, double oven or dishwasher. $10,000 worth of appliances I™€™m stuck with. Couldn™€™t even get shiny black. Had to pay extra for black stainless which is really grey. And all these touch controls are just an excuse for too many fingerprints. Bring back knobs on the right bottom corner. The cooktop layout of burners and controls is a disaster. With the controls placed in the center, it makes the pots too far of a reach to stir. Boiling water in one pot is too close to stir the pot next to it without getting burned by steam.

Touch Controls are too finicky.

RufusTFirefly 11/4/2025

We've been using this cooktop for about two weeks now. It's a very nice product, but the touch controls don't work very well. Sometimes we'll touch one and nothing happens, no matter which of us tries it and now matter how much we change finger position. Then a little while later it will work just fine. We thought that at first it was just a matter of getting used to it, but, after two weeks, that doesn't appear to be the case. It's quite frustrating to use because of the lack of consistency.

Love this induction cooktop!!

danr35_1601 8/17/2025

Absolutely love cooking on this cooktop. I grew up learning to cook on an old school electric stove and this is worlds of difference. I™€™ve been in love with gas ranges but we decided to try an induction cooktop. The burners heat up so quickly and cook evenly. I love that it also doesn™€™t heat up my whole kitchen like a gas ranges does. Makes cooking in the summer months less miserable inside. This was also so amazingly easy to clean, I couldn™€™t believe it. I would spend so much time scrubbing my gas cooktop and being grossed out. Honestly, this was an eye opening product for me.

My old electric fooktop was over 20 years old and it was just an old reliable but definitely losing functionality and fresh design. This new 30" induction cooktop is magical. The amount of new functions and flexibility is impressive. Firstly, the modern black glass design is beautiful. My boring kitchen literally jumped into the 21st century. I love the Temp Cook™ Induction Technology on 3 out of 5 modes, which maintains the specific temperature set for precision beyond high, medium, and low settings. Temp Cook™ Smart Presets help me sear a steak, simmer soups, quickly boil water for tea, and saute dinner veggies. The squared shape Even-Heat™ Zone adds versatility to cook with large pans like griddles or two pans at once. I downloaded the KitchenAid app for more control and added setting assistance. I can't tell you how quickly my food comes together...the induction technology boils eggs in such a short time, and everything just comes together smoother. The cleaning is a breeze...just wipe and i never had baked on spots to scrub. Additionally,... safety feature shows when the surface is HOT. I am actually excited to cook more for my family and experiment with new recipes. My shout out to the installation team who hauled away my old top and expertly put the new one in. It did take us time to get started only because the touch controls are unique. PLUS, some of my pots and pans were not compatible with such new induction methods. So fyi.... make sure your pots and pans are enameled steel, cast iron, or stainless steel for induction cooktops.

Powerful and Smart Safety Features

jessicap878_1983 8/10/2025

This cooktop is overall very good and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cooktop. It has a sleek, modern design that looks great in any kitchen. I'm currently remodeling my kitchen and am excited that I don't have to worry about it matching the walls, countertop, or other appliances. It has a powerful performance, especially with the ™€œPower Boost™€ mode. I found that it heats my pans quickly and boils my water quickly and in under 10 minutes. It also has convenient simmer and melt settings for delicate cooking. For cleanup, it is very easy to clean; the surface wipes down quickly and easily and it does not leave smear marks. I also like that it has minimal heat transfer outside the induction zone ™€" the cooktop stays cool to the touch except directly under the cookware. The safety features were also nice. It only produces heat when an induction-compatible pan or pot is detected, which adds an extra layer of safety, and it has an auto shut-off feature after no use to prevent accidents. The cooktop™€™s ability to rapidly boil water is impressive, and the control settings are intuitive. The fact that it drops to level 18 after the 10-minute Power mode ends, instead of shutting off entirely, is a thoughtful touch that keeps cooking seamless. Overall, I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in a cooktop.

Learning curve ....but great cooktop

ann34_5163 8/8/2025

So...there is a bit of a learning curve for cooktop. It's unique and modern, but certainly not what I was used to, and I ended up watching a few videos to understand how to use it and control the temperature. Once I have gotten familiar with the process, it's smooth and easy. I don't like cooking with open flame so induction cooktop has always been my go to. It heats up quickly and the heat is distributed evenly. I love the fact that there are different cooking zones and sizes for different pots and pans. I can imagine how confused my mother would be when she visits and tries to cook for me but for now, I'm enjoying this product.

Absolutely obsessed with this. It was incredibly easy to install and clean. The switch from gas to induction was pretty easy it™€™s just ensuring the pots you use are the correct ones. I feel like the even heating is my favorite part since I™€™m such a foodie.

Wow this was an amazing find for our kitchen. So excited to continue to use this and explore all of its features but so far we are very happy with it! I often find the heating elements take awhile on these types of ranges but not this one! Installation was easy and cleaning is also easy since it™€™s all one piece. I love that there are no knobs for my little one to mess with so it has great safety features.

ericn15_6695 8/1/2025

Loving This Cooktop So Far! I™€™m really impressed with this KitchenAid induction cooktop. It looks super sleek in my kitchen and works like a dream. The five cooking zones give me plenty of space, and everything heats up fast. I mean, boiling water in like a minute fast. The Temp Cook feature is awesome™€"I™€™ve used it for melting chocolate and making sauces without having to babysit the pot. The controls are easy to use and super responsive, and cleaning is a breeze since spills don™€™t get cooked onto the surface. Overall, it™€™s made cooking quicker, easier, and more fun. Totally happy with this upgrade!

Magic

andrewf53_9955 7/31/2025

I never thought I™€™d get emotional over a cooktop, but here we are. The KitchenAid 5-Zone Induction Cooktop is everything I didn™€™t know I needed and now can™€™t live without. It™€™s sleek, intuitive, and dare I say™€¦ a little bit magical? Here™€™s the breakdown: ™€ Five flexible zones give me the freedom to cook like a multitasking wizard. Whether it™€™s a tiny saucepan or a family-sized skillet, the surface adapts like it was custom-built for the moment. ™€ Induction magic means water boils faster than my patience with burnt rice (read: very fast), and the temperature control is razor-sharp™€"no more scorched sauces or undercooked omelets. ™€ Easy to clean? Absolutely. Spills don™€™t bake onto the surface, which means a quick wipe and I™€™m done. It™€™s basically self-care in appliance form. ™€ Sleek design blends beautifully into my kitchen setup. It™€™s modern without trying too hard™€"like the James Bond of cooktops. Bottom line: It™€™s fast, smart, and ridiculously efficient. If you love to cook (or at least pretend to while looking good doing it), this cooktop is worth every penny. Bravo, KitchenAid.
