I liked the Frigidaire portable AC unit. It's easy to move around thanks to the attached wheels. The unit also has handholds for easy lifting and 2 washable filters. I was surprised to see that it has an air quality light on the front too. The controls are easy to use. You can change the temperature from C to F, and it also has a child lock. The unit can cool up to 450 square feet. The AC unit can go as low as 60 F or as high as 90 F (Manual mode). You can also use the Smart mode, which will automatically adjust the temperature settings. The hose is attached to the unit and can be extended to 59 inches. The box includes everything you need to install the window panel. The unit can be used with a vertical or horizontal sliding window. I liked that the box included weather stripping and foam for easier setup. The unit doesn't have a remote, but you can use the on-unit control panel or download the Frigidaire app. The app is easy to use. Connecting the unit to the app didn't take very long. I'm happy with the fan settings of low, medium, and high. The unit also has a dry mode. You can connect the included drain hose to offer continuous drainage in the dry mode. The unit cools quickly (user experience may vary). It's not excessively loud on the highest or default settings. So far, everything is working well.

I am very impressed with the quality and care that was given when creating this Frigidaire GHPC142AA1 potable air conditioner. It appears to be a well built unit that I think will hold up over the years. It does a great job of keeping the entire room cool and comfortable, and at a temperature that I choose. In fact, I have it in one room and it™™s done a great job of cooling that room as well as the two rooms next to it. It runs super quiet, which allows me to visit with guest, watch a movie, or listen to music without the distractions of a noisy air conditioner. It has two reusable filters, that pull out and can easily be rinsed, one is located on the top of the unit and one is located on the side of the unit. The controls are very straightforward, which makes for easy operation. It has added wheels, which makes it truly portable, and moving it from room to room a breeze. The unit is very heavy, so the wheels were a nice feature, and there are build in handles, one on either side of the unit to make it easy to move, turn or rotate the init. The cord is plenty long enough, at around six feet, to ensure that you can get to an outlet with absolutely no problems. There is a snap loop on the back of the unit, to hold the cord so it™™s out of the way. The exhaust hose can be extended from fifteen inches all the way up to fifty-nine inches, which is great for that hard to reach window. The window slide come with extenders, to ensure it fits your window. Overall, I™™m very pleased with this unit and highly recommend it.

The Frigidaire Gallery portable AC unit is quieter than I expected. Even on the highest/ automatic setting, it wasn't excessively loud. This unit can cool up to 450 square feet. I liked that the box includes everything you need to set up the window kit. The unit can be used in a vertical or horizontal sliding window. I used it with a horizontal sliding window. I loved that the hose is attached to the unit. No more struggling to make sure it was attached correctly. The hose can extend up to 59 inches. It also includes all the needed accessories for installation, and even a drain hose. Overall setup was easy. The time may vary depending on your window style. I liked that the unit includes any weather stripping and foam. The unit has an easy-to-use touch pad interface, or you can download the Frigidaire app. The unit also connects to smart devices such as Alexa and Google. If running on Wi-Fi, you will need to connect it to a 2.5 GHz signal. The unit can be set to as low as 60°F or as high as 90°F. The unit has a cool, dry (dehumidifier) and fan setting. As well as automatic. The fan can be set to low, medium, or high. The timer options are set for 30-minute intervals. The timer can be set for 24 hours if needed. I liked that the unit has built-in handholds as well as removable filters. When in use, you can set the swing setting to oscillate the air. The app is easy to use and offers a few features that aren't on the remote control, such as setting a task. Aside from that, the app is pretty basic. The unit is easy to move around thanks to the wheels. As a whole, it seems to be a sturdy unit. This will come in handy this summer.

We live in Maine and have had very limited days where an A/C was indicated. But, the few days we did have were more than enough to demonstrate how well this unit is going to work this summer. I have no doubt it will keep us cool and comfortable and allow for pleasant nights of sleep. We were a little worried that installing the exhaust panel in the coor weather may lead to heat loss, but that has not been the case. Really love that the unit is an A/C, a dehumidifier and a fan all in one unit.As we have gotten older, 65 me and 73 him, we have been talking about getting a portable A/C or maybe more then one. The units he has been installing in the windows have gotten heavier and heavier and he has had more difficulty installing them each year. This machine is a dream, no heavy lifting and no danger of the unit falling out the window (this did happen a couple of years ago).

From the moment this air conditioner arrived the process of unpacking and installing it was seamless. I was able to unpack this by myself with a broken leg, and put it all together in about 25 minutes. The unit comes with everything you need, with the exception of the allergen filter, which is stated is available in their online shop via the app. I've looked and looked and cannot find it. It's essential for me to have that filter and it was part of why I purchased this unit. It loses a star based on that. The app is super easy to install and navigate, starting and keeping my ac schedule set is a breeze. You have a ton of information on outside allergens via the app, and the outdoor location is only 7 miles from my rural home. The ac is very quiet when it runs, which is a huge win in an already loud household. It cools the entire downstairs of our home in minutes. I purchased this unit in preparation for hurricane season and power outages that I am all too familiar with living in Texas and Louisiana. Central A/C uses too much power for the backup home battery I have, so I researched portable A/C units and landed on this one. Set-up couldn't be easier - I had it out of the box and set-up, hooked up, and plugged in within 30 minutes. It is very easy to roll around on my hard floors, but will require two people to get upstairs/lift if needed. The instructions were easy to understand, and it worked like a charm on the first try. I was very impressed with how quickly it was blowing ice cold air and the fan speed. I also could not believe how quiet it is!! I especially appreciated that feature, and the air quality sensor. I have no doubt this will be a lifesaver and am SO glad I purchased it! I am now contemplating purchasing a second unit to keep upstairs and use at night for extra cooling while I sleep, without running my whole home A/C to death in our 100+ degree weather.

The Frigidaire ™ GHPC142AA1 Air Conditioner itself, is working great. My misgivings are with the Frigidaire customer service team. The unboxing and setup of the a/c unit was quite easy, the only real assembly was with the window mount kit, which I just used a picture to see how the parts fit together instead of using the "instruction paper". As for the window mount kit, while it is quite long, it still was not long enough to fit in my windowsill. To get another kit so that I could combine them both and make longer, would cost over $60 for it. So, instead I cannibalized the mount kit and just made my own, which worked better for me anyways. This way I could also attach the exhaust hose for my 3D printer to the mount kit as well. The unit itself is easy to control, it's quite straight forward in how to use it. The only real problem came about when I tried to use the Frigidaire app to remotely control it. After installing it, my a/c model wasn't listed in the app. I tried the other models listed just to see if they would control it and they wouldn't sync. So, I emailed Frigidaire CS to let them know the model number was missing from the app and how to get it to work. Well, after 4 days and not hearing anything back, I decided to try the app again. This time, low and behold, the model number was now listed. So after selecting the model, everything after that went smoothly and I was able to connect the unit to the app and control it remotely. The only real thing I didn't like about the app was the you can't switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit, which you can do on the unit itself. As for the customer service team, as of the writing of this review, it has been over a week since I contacted them about the missing model number and as of right now, they still have not replied to my ticket to let me know they fixed the issue. While they DID fix the issue, their lack of giving an update is troubling to me. So far, the unit has been in my 3D Printer/Server room and it has been doing a great job of controlling the temp. Prior to this unit, if the door was closed and you opened the door, you would literally get hit by a wave of heat. Central A/C is just not made for cooling down a "server room". Now, that room actually stays colder than the rest of the house. For me, this was a much needed purchase and is doing exactly what I need it to do. I just pray I never need to talk to the CS. The only reason I gave the unit a 4 star instead of 5 was because of the CS team.

We™™ve had a great experience with this standing air conditioner! Before this, we used a traditional window unit, which always felt like a compromise. It cooled the room but it also blocked out half of our window, which meant no fresh air, very little natural light, and kind of a gloomy feel overall.This standing unit totally solved that problem. It sits neatly on the floor, and with the window kit it comes with, we were able to set it up quickly without permanently altering our window or frame. Now we get to enjoy the daylight and a refreshingly cool room which is a huge win.The cooling power is surprisingly fast. Within just a few minutes of turning it on, the temperature noticeably drops, even on really warm days. It™™s efficient, doesn™™t take up a ton of space, and it's on wheels so we can easily move it if needed. The WiFi access is an added bonus in being able to turn it on or off from anywhere from the app and change settings.If you™™ve never used a portable/standing AC unit before, I™™d definitely recommend this as a first one to try. It gives you flexibility without sacrificing comfort, and the setup isn™™t intimidating. Plus, no more wrestling a heavy window unit into place every summer!Highly recommend for anyone looking to cool a room while still letting in natural light and keeping their windows more open and usable.
